Only 50' or so from the front door is the Little Traverse Wheelway bicycle path that goes 26.7 miles from Charlevoix north to Harbor Springs with a 32 mile spur called the North Western State Trail that takes you to Mackinaw City. Also within three blocks are the local hospital, the marina, a small sandy beach, the lighthouse pier, the softball fields, the Historical Museum and the Bear River for Salmon fishing.
