With an interior remodeled in 2014, our cabin sleeps 6 comfortably, has 2 private bedrooms each with a queen bed, one open concept bedroom with 1 queen beds and seating area, and 1 bath. Central Heat and AC, 4 TVs, DirecTV, wi-fi, a dvd player, dishwasher, washer, dryer, electric stove, full fridge, microwave, crockpot, and coffee maker.
Outside there is a small deck in front, medium deck in back, slab below, 5 patio chairs and fire table. DO NOT BURN IN THE FIRE TABLE UNDER THE HOUSE. Move it from under the house before lighting a single match please.
Walking distance from the cabin is the North Jetty, providing an excellent venue for unguided nature walks with stunning views of the nesting waterfoul and migratory marsh birds, and some excellent fishing and crabbing spots. There's a small beach (4 blocks long) with a boat launch. Scenic Fort Travis is a short drive away. The Port Bolivar/Galveston Ferry Landing is two miles away with access to all the sites and attractions of Galveston Island just a free boat ride away. Crystal Beach is 10 miles in the other direction with the Big Store and Stingaree Marina. Access to the big beach (the one that runs the length of Crystal Beach) and the Audubon Society's Tidal Flats Sanctuary is a little over a mile from the house. You're welcome to bring and use golf carts to get around, but please be aware they cannot be driven on the highway.
