This refurbished farm house offers guests amazing comfort and tranquility. La Petite Ferme is one of a small cluster of cottages in L’Hammeau, just a couple minutes stroll from Longeveau.
The cottage is entered from the front courtyard. Double doors lead into a bright kitchen, dining and living space, with TV / DVD player (English free-view channels) and a stereo. The kitchen is fully equipped with fan assisted oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine and all of the utensils you will need for your stay. Set to the side is a double bedroom and a bright and spacious bathroom. Upstairs is another double bedroom with en-suite, and an adjoining single bedroom - ideal for babies or young children. The other upstairs bedroom has twin beds and an en-suite.
The property is finished to a high standard, achieving a pleasant balance of modern comfort, mixed with original features such as the old stone fireplace and many of the original oak beams.
The private courtyard, with a raised pergola is partially shaded by a beautiful Yew Tree. But mostly it is drenched in sunlight from morning through to evening. It has a BBQ, outside dining and plenty of sun-loungers.
Guests of the Petite Ferme have access to the Hameau swimming pool, shared with the other few cottages in the cluster. Plus the the other pools and facilities at Longeveau are only a short stroll away...

Summary: Our weekend stay in Longeveau was very enjoyable. The property was beautiful and spacious, wonderfully situated and easily accommodated our large group. We ate in the Gite on arrival and were very impressed with the food. A few small changes and La Petite Ferme could be a 10/10 place to stay. Firstly, the presence of quite a large number of flies inside the property when we arrived was a little off putting. I appreciate this is rural France in July but there is still room for improvement. Similarly, the relaxing time spent sitting in the beautiful garden area could occasionally be disrupted by a septic tank type smell, which was very unfortunate and threatened to break the atmosphere. It being an old solid farmhouse in early July meant that excessive heat could be an issue, particularly for the guests sleeping in the upstairs rooms. Whilst I can appreciate the desire not to install air conditioning in a historic building, the presence of roof fans might have provided some additional comfort. Overall our stay was extremely enjoyable and I would recommend Manoir Longeveau to friends. The above is intended as constructive crirticism only.
