This spacious garden house sits at the back of our home property among the papaya trees & native garden. It is very light, featuring huge glass doors and windows, cathedral ceilings, aircon & heating in the bedrooms, polished concrete floors, open-plan kitchen, and a plunge pool.
The furnishings are modern and less conventional than a typical family home, with Barcelona chairs and a large coffee-table in the open-plan kitchen/lounge area, and an outdoor desk/small dining table on the back deck. It is important to note that this house is NOT kiddy-proofed, and therefore is not safe for kids, so big people only!
The kitchen has a full-sized fridge, gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave, coffee machine & grinder, and a well stocked supply of spices and condiments.
The house is located near the vibrant strip of Victoria Park, the magnificent Swan River and the beautiful Jirdarup Bushland, home to protected Red & White Tailed Cockatoos. A walk away there are cafes, bars, river & nature.
Kensington is on the border of Victoria Park and South Perth. It is close to the city (walkers will enjoy the 20 - 30 minute walk) and also close to the Swan River where people love to take their early morning runs, walks and bike rides. Victoria Park is lively and vibrant in the evenings, with an excellent array of restaurants with cuisines ranging from Korean BBQs to 100% Vegan.
The George St Cafe is a minute's walk up the road, and the award winning Little Banksia cafe a 10 minute walk. Also one minute away is an IGA and a Turkish cafe/restaurant.
