Our charming historic home is a wonderful base for travelers and families visiting Chicagoland.
Walk 10 min to the Metra train, local coffee shop, grocery stores, Walgreens, and restaurants.
Drive 20 min or less to Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, St. Charles, Naperville, Geneva, and Fermilab.
Well equipped kitchen, WiFi, 3 bedrooms, spacious dining room, fenced backyard with brick patio.

The space
1500 sq ft home. You will need to walk up stairs to enter the home.
Central heat and air conditioning,
3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. All bedrooms and the bathroom are on the 2nd floor.
Master Bedroom:
King sized bed with nightstands and lamps with built in USB outlets.
Attached office includes large desk with working space and pull out sofa, suitable for children
Bedroom 2:
Queen sized bed with two nightstands and two lamps with built in USB outlets.
Bedroom 3:
Twin sized bunk/loft beds. Best suited for children. Lower mattress is on the floor. Also has a pod style swing for children.
Bathroom has a bathtub, shower, toilet, sink, four towel hooks, and shelves to store your toiletries.
Linens, towels, toilet paper, soap, and shampoo are supplied.
Downstairs
Large fully equipped eat-in kitchen with refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, cookware, dishes, utensils. Kitchen towels and dish soap provided. Coffee and tea also provided.
Spacious dining room with dining table large enough for 10 people.
Living room with couch, love seat, armchair, coffee table, clavinova (electric piano), Television with Blu Ray/DVD player and children’s rocking chairs.
Foyer includes kids art table and closet with pack and play and high chair.
Our three-season front porch has two comfy chairs, toys, and a kids play area.
Basement laundry room with front loading washer, dryer, and laundry detergent.
In good weather, enjoy our fenced-in backyard with slides, swings, outdoor toys,, and a large patio area with lights surrounded by gardens. If your timing is right, you can eat fresh berries from our gardens!
**As with any historic, 90+ year old home, there are some quirks. We like to think it is part of the charm. Some of the floor creaks. The door to our cozy bathroom is a bi-fold door. Many of our windows are the original windows so some take a little finesse to move up and down. You may find the occasional ant or friendly bug make its way into the house. Stairway to the basement is narrow.
The street we are on is sometimes busy during peak travel times. It is a 2 lane road with a 25 mph speed limit, but there is road noise at times. We do provide a white noise machine and fans if this bothers you.
Guest access
You're welcome into every room of the 1st and 2nd floor of our home (except the upstairs porch, which is locked and used for storage). You are also welcome to use the basement laundry room. Please note, our home also has a basement apartment that is occupied. Our basement tenant is also on hand in case of emergencies.
This is our family home and we live here 50% of the year. Many of the upstairs closets, as well as a kitchen cabinet will be locked. Please do not enter these closets. Each bedroom does have drawer and space and hangers to hang clothes available.
