Perched on a quiet bluff overlooking the Darien River along the Georgia Colonial Coast Birding Trail, Marshview Retreat is a relaxing home-away-from home, perfect for morning and evening porch-sitting, watching the passing shrimp boats, and recharging your batteries.
It's an easy drive from neighboring Brunswick — just 12 miles from FLETC and 16 miles from Southeast Georgia Medical Center - this Southern Living home is situated close to Fort King George heritage site; multiple fishing areas including the Altamaha River, Sapelo Island Wildlife Management Area, and Harris Neck Creek Fishing Pier; and just a short walk to the historic district with its waterfront docks, restaurants with fresh-off-the-boat seafood, quaint local shops, art galleries, and a brewery.
We welcome guests staying 61 days or more.
Boat/RV parking available. First Responders, FLETC (students and per diem), snowbirds and K-9s are welcomed!
When you walk inside the home you are greeted by an open-concept kitchen/living room. The tall ceilings make the home feel even more spacious! Throughout the home there are hardwood floors. The kitchen is fully stocked for everything you would need for a longer stay.
There are smart TVs throughout so you can stream your favorite programs.
The best part of this listing is the enclosed back patio where you have AMAZING views of the marsh. You simply can't beat the view.

All reservations are charged a $50 processing fee. This fee is non-refundable, even if the reservation is cancelled.
Please consider purchasing travel insurance for your trip. This may cover you for instances of medical emergencies or inclement weather. We unfortunately can’t offer refunds for these types of situations so we want to ensure you’ve properly covered yourself.
Pack N Play, walker, high chair and strollers available upon request for $15 each for the duration of your stay. Please notify us at least 1 day in advance if you would like to rent them so we can ensure they are delivered prior to your arrival.
Linens are provided for your stay along with a starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, shampoo, body wash and laundry pods. They will not be replenished during your stay so make sure to bring some extras if you need!
For stays of 30 nights or more, we will collect a $750 refundable security deposit. If you extend your stay so that it is now over 29 nights, we will collect the security deposit after your extension is approved and paid for.
House Rules:
Smoking is not allowed. $2,000 minimum fee for smoking inside the house.
Quite hours are 8pm to 8am. Violation of county ordinance will result in immediate eviction without refund.
No loud music. No parties. No parking on the lawn.
There will be a $75 minimum charge for any missing remotes, including ceiling fan, and TV remotes.
Maximum of 2 dogs. Please pickup all pet waste from the yard. Failure to do so will result in a $50 fee.
