You should also pay a visit to Dobbertin Monastery, as this listed site is a popular meeting place for day trippers and art lovers. It was founded a long time ago in 1220 by the Benedictines. From May to September, guided tours of the monastery grounds take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 3 pm. Adjacent to the monastery is a park with some dendrological treasures, through which a nature trail leads.
