Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location was quiet and central to our travels. The facility was very modern and in great condition. The towels were very nice. Not mildewy like some.

Negative: The amenities lacked small touches. A roll of paper towels and some tissues would have been wonderful. There was no shampoo or lotion or a bar of soap that we usually get in other rentals. I appreciate non-stick cookware but it has to be in excellent condition or I won't use it because of the risks associated with damaged Teflon. The knives were mostly dull. The cutting board should be tossed. Wasn't sure what to do with our garbage which got full and was very smelly. There are no lights in the entryway or stairwell which is a hazard.

Summary: I enjoyed Il Portico but would love to see the amenities improve. The parking was great.
