Villa Julie is a wonderful, modern Villa, situated just 1,5 Km away from the amazing, sandy beach of Plakias, one of the most famous and well-known beaches of South Rethymno. The Villa is also within walking distance from a mini market and local tavernas. Also in Plakias you can find all kinds of amenities for your daily needs: beach bars, restaurants, cafes, bakery, super markets, grocery store, pharmacy, pastry shop, post office and doctor’s office, conveniently at hand’s reach, for an easy and relaxing holiday!

The privileged location of Villa Julie, perched on a hillside, at the traditional village of Selia, provides stunning views to the Libyan Sea and the hillside surround area, as well as the long beach of Plakias! To make things even better, a dip in the private swimming pool (25m2 and 1.70m deep) will refresh your body and soul! Enjoy your morning coffee by the pool, on the lovely arched veranda, sunbathe on the sun beds provided, read your favourite book under the shade of the umbrellas or just gaze upon the endless blue sea! At night, you can prepare your dinner at the BBQ facilities available and try al fresco dining…an experience that you will never forget! Additionally, the outdoor area covers 300 m2, and lawn covered area is ideal for the kids to play!

Ground Floor
Villa Julie covers 90 m2, it’s divided in two levels and can accommodate up to 5 guests, making it suitable for families, as well as for groups of friends. As you enter Villa Julie, you will find the Villa’s cosy living room area on your right, where one guest could sleep on the comfortable sofa. The living room boasts a relaxing ambience and offers direct access to the pool area and lawn covered terrace! The room is sunny and airy all day long thanks to the large window and double doors, and the lovely fireplace adds a nice touch! Some board games, DVDs and binoculars are also available so you can spend some quality time with your loved ones!
On your left, you can meet the fully equipped kitchen, providing all essentials for a self-catered, family holiday, as well as a dining area. The whole Villa is tastefully decorated and the modern furnishings were carefully chosen, so as to provide maximum comfort and make you feel right at home. Finally, a WC can also be found on the ground floor.
First Floor
A few stairs up, the two bedrooms of Villa Julie await to offer our guests a good night’s rest! One of the bedrooms features a double bed, while the master bedroom has a King Size bed and also offers direct access to a spacious veranda. The veranda is equipped with a restful siting area and boasts spectacular vistas of the sea and the coast line! Let your eyes wander and take in the fresh summer breeze! Finally, a family bathroom with a bathtub is appointed on this level.

Villa Julie is located in the traditional village of Selia, situated on the south coast of Rethymno, where guests can find many necessities they need such as tavernas and a bakery within 2 minutes walking distance.
The world famous beach of Plakias and the homonym sea front village, can be reached within 9 minutes by car. The sandy beach is very well organised, providing sun beds, umbrellas, changing rooms, showers, etc. The rocks surrounding the beach are ideal for fishing and snorkelling, as well. The road along the beach is also ideal for walking or cycling. Along the main road of the village there are several supermarkets, bakeries, ATM machines, post office, a doctor’s as well as a dentist’s office, restaurants, tavernas, a pastry shop, a bakery, cafes and beach bars while on the beach there are tamarisk trees, water sports, beach volley courts, snack bars and other shops offer a very wide range of products, including local and traditional goods.
The long, sandy beach of Souda, which is just a short drive from the villa, 10 minutes, is well organised with sun beds and umbrellas.
Also the well known beaches of Schinaria, Ammoudaki and Damnoni which are definitely considered as the beauty of the south cost, are close and can be reached within a 10 minutes drive.
Sea waters are warm in July and August, but be prepared to bathe in Saharan-style heat and the ‘meltémi’, the northerly wind which regularly blasts beaches. On the other hand the winds also drive away the mosquitoes and break through that solid wall of summer heat. These breezes are known to locals by individual names, depending on where they come from, how long they stay, and what gifts they bring with them.
