Positive: I picked Kido as it was a little off the beaten track, in Ushimado, outside Setouchi. It's tucked away in a quiet little neighbourhood and this is definitely part of its appeal, and the stay there was very peaceful. I was welcomed on arrival and shown around the facilities, and then to my room, which was very comfortable and spacious, and had a great view across the tops of the houses to the coast. I arrived by car; there's a small car park nearby which wasn't hard to find, thanks to directions sent before I arrived. There are a handful of restaurants in the area, and it's a great location for taking a relaxed evening stroll.
