La Casa Azul is a 2 story Spanish inspired ?pet friendly home. Located in a 24/7 security gated beach front community of the famous "Blue Zone" the Nicoyan Peninsula -Los Delfines Golf & Country Club.
Our Home has a private yard, upgraded pool with corolina edging and 16' custom rancho & patio loungers for you to enjoy. If you're lucky you may even get to enjoy a Lemon from our tree.

Our modern Spanish villa has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms with a private yard, pool and 16' custom rancho to relax under during your stay. In our yard we have a table for 6, 2 pool loungers, a charcoal BBQ, DVD's, Books, Games & Unlimited 5mbps Wifi included with our rental which is pretty decent to stream Netflix at night. If you require faster / reliable internet you can purchase a KOlBI cell phone SIM card at our local corner store here and load it up for $7,000 CR (about $13 CAD or $10US ) and receive 25GB for 7 days. Ask us about our KOLBI reimbursement program for LONGTERM renters.
Please note this is a 100% non-smoking villa, No Parties.
*AC per bedroom & main floor to accommodate different temperature needs.
*Electricity is included in our unit for our rentals.
*Fully stocked kitchen tools: Fridge, Stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, blender, flatware & cooking utensils. BBQ in the backyard as well.
*Laundry area has washer & dryer. Home is stocked with linens and towels. (However you will want to bring big beach towels)
This villa is entirely yours, no sharing with anyone else including our private yard and 16' custom rancho for you to enjoy.
In this wonderful community of 125 acre area you will see wildlife such as: Howler Monkeys, Spider Monkey's, Scarlet Macaws, White-Tailed Deer, and a many many birds. Bring your camera. If it's in season you may be able to release rescued baby sea turtles with our local rescue group TAMBOR BAY TURTLE rescue. If you're up early enough you may even see a whale breach in our bay where they often come to have their calfs in privacy.
Our beach is 8km of sandy calm waves is much safe than any other beach on this side of Costa Rica due to being in a cove you'll see our beach is best suited for relaxing and a quick dip over surfing. You'll also notice our beach is VERY SECLUDED you'll often feel alone on the beach as it's so large and not easily accessible to those that don't know about it. If you're an adventure seeker we have a Kayaking company in our community that would love to take you out on the ocean and explore different beaches.
On-site amenities include golf, pro shop, rentals, & guided tours. The beach house rancho for drinks or pizza by the beach, BNCR Bank machine, grocery/convenience store, Sunday fresh fruits/vegges farmers market, Fishing, Snorking/Scuba Diving, Kayaking, Tambor Bay Turtle Rescue, Yoga in the main town of Playa Tambor & so much more.
You'll also have plenty to do visiting neighbouring villages. Montezuma is a zen hippie/yoga town you'll enjoy plenty of restaurants, shopping and maybe even a beach horseback riding adventure. Santa Teresa is the spot to visit for your surfing lessons. This town is THE surfing Mecca of Costa Rica. You'll see it's very busy and with so much to see and do from restaurant hopping to filling your shopping needs you'll enjoy this Pura Vida adventure town. Once you're tired and need to rest you'll love watching the sunset back on our quite beach so close to our villa.
Parking is on site and for 1 car.
You will have full access to the community and amenities when you stay at our villa. This includes on site convenience grocery store, ATM machine, Tennis/Basketball court (equipment not included) Community pool, community playgrounds, golf course -free walks on Monday, 8km of sandy secluded beach front, and Sunday mini farmers market at 10am sharp at the front gates.
Gym passes can be purchased for $40 for unlimited usage.
Golf is $100 USD for 18 holes & includes golf cart. Golf club rental is about $40 USD per person.
The owners of La Case Azul will not be on site however we are easily accessible and happy to help. You can reach us on Airbnb or directly through our cell phone #'s.
Check in will happen at the main security gate. You'll need your passport or government issued ID of all guests staying in the villa. All details on how to check in with ease will be provided 2 weeks prior to arrival.
Onsite security
Maintenance Staff- We have a pool and lawn maintenance staff that work in our yard every day for a few hours. They generally work at 6AM to noon, their time on the property varies. They are kind, friendly and trustworthy hard workers.
Garbage / Recycling.
Garbage pick up is done daily each morning. Please leave garbage in the bin at the end of the laneway. Recycling depots are found in the community to ensure were continually recycling as much as possible.
Barceló Tambor Beach Resort a few miles away. You can get: Spa, Massage, Nail and Beauty Salonn. Please note: If you are flying out to Tambor via Sansa or Nature Air it is suggested you visit the counter travel agency two days before your departure to reconfirm your airplane trip.
Medical services are located in Cobano and Paquera. Chiropratic, dental and pharmacy services are also located in Cobano.
Banks- The Banco National is located in Cobano. There is an ATM in the parking lot at in Los Delfines Golf & Country Club. US and Canada bank cards are accepted. Major credit cards are accepted through out Costa Rica.
Supermarkets- The are 2 to choose from in the immediate area. One is located on the first floor of the clubhouse and the other is located in the village of Tambor. Alcohol and beer are available in the supermarkets. A larger supermarket is located in Cobano.
Tap water is very safe to drink. It is fresh spring water from the mountains.
Garbage pick up is daily each morning by noon (excluding Sunday).Please leave tied garbage bags at the street curb in front of the house.
Glass Recycling depot box is a short 2 minutes walk down the street.( Glass/ Plastic)
As a frequent vacation SuperHost, my aim is to ensure that you have as comfortable a stay as you possibly can. I want you and your guests to create lasting memories during your stay in our villa.
But to do so, I would greatly appreciate if you could follow the below house rules. I know, I know, rules are borking…But these rules ensure we can provide future guess with a great experience.
Arrival:
We do require every guest's full name & Passport # or ID # to be provided for security clearance at the gate. Without it they will not provide access and is a community requirement for safety.
Kitchen:
We have a fully stocked kitchen so help your self and use whatever you need to make your meals. We supply tea, coffee and general spices for you to use. My only request is that you wash all dishes / utensils prior to leaving so ants aren’t attracted.
Cooling:
Our air conditioner is located in the living room as well as each of the 3 bedrooms. Please ensure you switch them off prior to checking out.
Noise/Guests:
We have neighbours surrounding our property, we would appreciate it if you can keep noise down after 10:00pm as per the community rules. We also require that there be no parties, loud events or smoking during your stay.
Unregistered guests are not permitted for over night stays. If you would like to have up to 2 guests join you we will require their information for gate access.
Laundry:
The laundry machines (washer & dryer) are located at the back of the house and are available for you to use with the washing powder stored in the kitchen pantry on the right hand side.
Trash/ Recycling:
Garbage is picked up daily after 12:00pm so please put your trash out the morning of and not over night as raccoons will make a mess.
Recycling Stations can be found at the 1st round about on the right hand side. Please bring all recycling here for future pick up.
Pets:
We are a pet friendly property and welcome your family member during your stay. We only request that you are in control of your pet during your stay so damage doesn’t happen. It is also essential that you clean up pet waste promptly so future guests don’t have any discoveries.
