Whether our home is your destination stay or a stopover, Whakamaru is one of those "gem" places waiting to be discovered. The farm park, where our house is located, provides the idyllic base to then do as much or as little as you please.
Relaxers enjoy the peaceful rural vista out toward the lake, mesmerising and peaceful.
Adventurers can head to the lake for water skiing, wake boarding, kayaking or beyond the farm gates for mountain biking or tramping.
A hot tub at the end of the day anyone?
The house lends itself to your relaxation, inside and out. Various areas provides space to enjoy the latest episodes of your favourite streamed shows or movies, lunch or dinner in the courtyard with something fresh from the BBQ, coffee on the front deck, drinks in the spa..
The farm has it's own boat ramp & jetty, so if you have a boat it is just a short 2 km drive to the communal area. In addition there is a picnic area and tennis court, so even without the boat, it's a great spot to while away an afternoon or evening.
The roads throughout the farm are our "local" walking track, you'll find our neighbours friendly so don't hesitate to stop for a natter..
Beyond the farm, we are 5 km from to The Waikato River Trail cycleway, which stretches 100 km, 30 mins from the awesome Timber Trail, 10 km from Mangakino & Lake Maraetai, 30 mins from amazing walking & tramping in the Pureora Forest, 35 mins from Taupo & 45 mins to Rotorua. Seriously central for amazing day trips.
