Enjoy the forested woods at this cabin which was designed and renovated by French artists who created a mountain retreat as they had back in Provence.
The small, quaint town of Arrowbear Lake gets its name from the fact that it is situated between Big Bear Lake and Lake Arrowhead making the town a great base camp for exploring the tremendous amount of breathtaking activities the San Bernardino National Forest has to offer, such as hiking, nature walks, fishing, and the Big Bear alpine zoo.
The Space:
The cabin has a full kitchen, two bedrooms (3 beds), and two full bathrooms (including 2 showers). The cabin has a front deck with a bench. I personally love sitting outside on the front bench. There is a deck in the backyard with a dining room table, which is a lovely place to enjoy the mountain view and greenery while having a fresh cooked meal or enjoying some coffee or tea. The backyard has space to roam around.
There is also a foldout minicrib if you have an infant.
The Neighborhood:
Small community in the woods. Great thing about this cabin is that you can go for a relaxing stroll, right right from home, to local hiking trails, a cute diner with good food named Victoria's, a lovely little lake, Arrowbear Park with swings and slides for the kids, all within a 5 to 10 minute walk.
Getting Around:
The San Bernardino mountains have several towns scattered around them, which include Lake Arrowhead, Big Bear Lake, Arrowbear Lake, Green Valley Lake, and others. Arrowbear Lake is small town centrally locatred in between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake, making it a great place to stay to maximixe the amount of beautiful places to see in the San Bernardino mountains.
Other Things to Note:
During season, the local lake, which is a nice 5 minute stroll, is stocked with trout. There is a fishing pole at the home you are welcome to use. Also at the home are some other sporting equipment that you are welcome to use, including a pair of 20 pound dumbells and a skateboard. There are also several board and table games inside.
