Positive: This first floor, 2 bedroom apartment was nice and private, located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. There is a small plunge pool located in the front, gated courtyard. Air conditioning units were located in one bedroom and the living area. There were also electric fans in all rooms. Beds and sofas were comfortable. The kitchen area was a nice size with table and chairs suitable for 4 people. We had a hire car so beach and shops were within a 5 minutes drive. All the basic essentials required were there including a washing machine. The hosts were very good. Exellent communications and solved any issues we had quickly and efficiently. I would definately recommend this property for anyone visiting Mauritius for SCUBA Diivng as lots of Dive centres close by and good diving in this part of the Island. The Hosts were also very accommodating when we had to keep changing our dates due to the Cyclone Season storms on the Island.
Negative: A little more attention to detail would make a massive difference to the holiday stay experience - first impressions do count! For security the apartment has big metal bar gates on the doors and windows. These were grubby and on first entering the apartment you feel like you are in prison. On opening the front door you could smell that the apartment has previously be owned or used by a smoker - it took a couple of days for us to properly air the property. The interior decoration was of a poor standard and a bit of a bodge job in places. Kitchenware was a collection of odd bits like a Youth Hostel Kitchen rather than a nice apartment. With minimal outlay and a little TLC this apartment could be transformed into a much nicer experience. Everyhting is there but with a little more effort your guests would get a much nicer homely experience from their stay.
Summary: Nice quiet apartment at end of cul-de-sac Helpful Friendly Hosts - Basic but good.
