Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Free on street parking outside the flat, a ten minute walk into the town and the owner was polite and friendly when I spoke to him. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was good.
Negative: We weren't given the details to enter the property before arrival. Then when we arrived, the flat had not been cleaned at all. Dirty bedsheets strewn about the room, mess all over the kitchen and bathroom and used towels on the floor. We waited 2 hours for cleaners to come out which wouldn't be too bad but by that point it was after 6pm so we didn't have time to get dinner before going to the event we were there for. The owner was very apologetic and offered to partially refund me. I accepted this offer and reminded him a few times over the next few days about it. He never sent the money over, but requested I leave him a good review. The area the flat is in is dodgy. Youths riding around two up on electric bicycles with balaclavas on, people trying car doors. The "garden view" was a patch of grass out the front covered in litter, much the same as all the other houses you can see with TVs and other crap just thrown about the place and broken old fencing everywhere. Anything above counter height was dirty. Light fittings covered in cobwebs, dirty windows and blinds etc.
