Welcome to the Professor's Cottage in the heart of Eugene! It's a 3-bedroom, 2 bath house that is 3 blocks to Hayward Field and U of O. You can walk to shops and restaurants within minutes or drive to Autzen in 6 minutes.
The house is full of colors and character, definitely not a cookie cutter home. It has original features from 1911 mixed in with a cool mid century modern vibe. You will enjoy the modern amenities of the house while appreciating the quirky details from the past.
It's a single story house dating back to 1911 located in a corner lot. There is hardwood throughout the house with some colorful tiles and flooring. The bedrooms are comfortable sizes with good lighting, comfortable mattresses and high quality linens. The bathrooms are colorful and quirky with good water pressure, plush towels and premium toiletries. We wanted to keep the cool character of the house everywhere while providing modern touches like a Keurig coffee machine, brand new refrigerator and dishwasher. There is ample cabinet space in the kitchen and it's fully stocked for your cooking needs.
You can definitely walk to a lot of places from the house. Whether it's to Hayward Field for a track event, to a really good pizza place 2 blocks away or the Matthew Knight Arena to catch a basketball game or a concert. You are minutes in a car to supermarkets, Autzen stadium, amazing parks and downtown Eugene.
There is a carport that can park 2 cars in tandem. Please note that we have a separate parking spot to the right of the driveway that is designated for the separate guesthouse on the property. Please do not block this parking spot at any time.
When you first arrive, I recommend that you park in front of the house on Moss St, bring in your bags through the front door and then move your car to the carport which is around the corner on 19th St. The carport is well lit with motion sensor lights. Once you park your car, walk towards the main house and look for the side entrance to the kitchen (with yellow horizontal blinds inside). You can use the same access code you used at the front door.
If you are arriving at night, please be mindful of the guests staying in the guest house and keep your voices down. Also note that the fenced area in front of the guesthouse is for their use only.

In a very central location super close to U of O, Hayward Field and coffee/restaurants/shops nearby. On a beautiful tree lined street.
This house is at a really convenient location where you can walk to U of O, nearby shops/restaurants/coffee, etc. But to see all that Eugene and the surrounding areas have to offer, you would want to have a car.
2 cars can be parked in tandem in the carport. Street parking is limited to 2 hour parking from 7 am to 11 pm Monday -Sunday.
The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and we respect our neighbors and their desire to live peacefully. Please observe the city ordinance quiet hours of 10 pm to 7 am. Even outside of this window, we expect our guests to be considerate and not disturb the peace. That means no parties and no loud gathering of any kind during the stay. We have zero tolerance on this policy. Thank you for your understanding!
Also, if you want to book the guesthouse as well as the main house, please let me know. The guesthouse is a studio and sleeps 2 people in a queen size bed, has a full bathroom and a well stocked kitchen with a mini fridge. It's a beautiful, unique space!
