The Lodge at Highland Meadows Resort is a luxury earth home located in Hot Springs, SD. The lodge is a short drive from the Moccasin Springs Natural Mineral Spa, Wind Cave National Park, Custer State Park, and The Mammoth Site — among many other attractions.
This is the largest unit at Highland Meadows Resort, located atop a 12.5 acre mesa with stunning views of the southern Black Hills of South Dakota. It's quiet, peaceful, and rejuvenating. It's also home to many types of wildlife.
The Lodge overlooks Hot Springs with a stunning view of the stars through expansive, south-facing windows. The large front lawn is private, quiet, and perfect for a weekend retreat. The inside of the lodge is a luxury experience. Let's explain.
The spaces:
East-end master bedroom: A large room with a king size bed, loveseat, ottoman, and workstation. The workstation is complete with a large high-definition monitor/smart TV, comfortable desk, desk chair, and charging station. The sliding glass doors in this room lead to an outdoor dining space and a short trail to an overlook of Hot Springs where you can relax in the to Adirondacks and take in the views.
The "zen" room: This is the perfect place for a morning yoga routine, massage, or private office. This room has a workstation with a 32" high-definition monitor/smart TV (to stream yoga or qigong videos — or work remotely), comfortable desk, and office chair. The workstation doubles as a dressing table with a large mirror over the desk and extra lighting for guests who need the extra space or brides renting the home for a small wedding. This room is equipped with a massage table for guest use. There is a beautiful molded glass door on this room that allows light in while providing privacy but because there's no window, we can't classify it as a bedroom. It does, however, have a queen size sofa sleeper. This room has an attached bathroom w/ tub.
The great room: This room features a commercial-grade kitchen w/ high-end appliances, 12' foot bar w/ five barstools, a dining table w/ seating for eight, a coffee bar w/ a Keurig cappuccino and latte maker, and an Italian leather sectional w/ chais and ottoman. The 85" smart TV and Dolby 9.1.2 surround sound system make for perfect movie nights.
West-end bedroom/event room: This is a large room on the west end of the lodge. It's primarily used as a bedroom but when the queen size Murphy bed is closed, it can be used as large open space, extra dining area, or game room. This room also has a comfortable love seat w/ a twin size hide-a-bed. The 85" TV w/ Dolby 3.1 theater sound is perfect for a cozy movie.
There is a shared wood fire pit on the property, picnic tables, and a beautiful large lawn that you're welcome to enjoy.
