Summary: The property itself was excellent. It is modern, immaculately clean. The kitchen is well equipped with two burners, a fridge and freezer, microwave and washing machine. It was most useful to be able to refresh one’s wardrobe while on the road. The bed was exceedingly comfortable. There is a safe. There is no lift so those with mobility issues take note. I would rate it 10 out of 10 except for the continuous traffic outside. While I am aware that the hotel has no control over that, I had chosen the property because it seemed to be on a narrow street in a neighbourhood. It turned out to be a major throughway in Sliema. Once the air conditioner had been reset I was able to sleep better my last two nights out of four with its noise cancelling out most of the traffic noise. If you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. My other issue is within the control of the property. Since an access code is needed to enter and I hadn’t heard back from them despite repeated messages through Expedia I was becoming anxious at getting no reply. The suggested phone call was not an option for me since it would cause heavy roaming fees. I couldn’t find an email or connect through WhatsApp. I can understand not wanting to send out the access code too early but a brief reply saying they had heard from me and would provide it on the day of arrival would have allayed my concerns.
