This home is an original Midcentury Modern designed by Japanese-American architect, Siberius Saito. One of the few homes in Cedar Falls designed by Saito. Original wood paneling, cork and tile floors, cabinets make this a must-stay home in the Cedar Valley. Nearly all of the furniture was picked from the period this home was built to perfect match the original Midcentury Modern feel of the home.
This beautiful MidMod brings Midcentury Modern - Japanese inspired open concept living to the forefront. Large expansive windows invite the mature surrounding nature into the home. Tons of hidden built in storage. This open concept home offers 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Two bedrooms on the main floor, both offering queen beds, showcase the open concept by not having doors. 1.5 bathrooms on the main level offer original Midcentury Modern tile work and sink, toilet, tub. Upstairs full bath only offers a tub, another half bath is attached to one of the bedrooms. Downstairs you will find another bedroom and 3/4 bathroom with stand-up shower. The downstairs living space offers a full wet bar with plenty of seating, a period modular designer couch that was designed to look like airport furniture of the time.
Outside you will find a patio alongside the Japanese garden, a large fire pit and a completely fenced in back/side yard.
