Summary: Pros- The property was a good size, parking was easy and access to the house was straightforward. The rooms were a good size and a TV in each room. There was enough towels for all guests. Cons- The downstairs living room window had no handle so didn’t shut properly. Had to go into the back yard to push it shut. Upstairs bedroom window couldn’t get closed at all. Cleanliness could have been better in the kitchen and bathrooms and when I took the bin bag out on departure there was rubbish from previous guests in the bottom of the bin. Facilities in the house were limited, only two mirrors one in downstairs bedroom and one in one upstairs bedroom. Kitchen had few pans, no cheese grater, no small cutting knives so difficult to make a meal. There was no fuse in the toaster plug so had to keep moving the fuse between the kettle and toaster plug to use it. Parts of the house had black lines spray painted across doors and bedroom furniture which made you wonder had someone broken in previously and done that as the windows didn’t shut? Checkout on Vrbo said 11am but it was 10 and could pay extra to check out late. I had 7 emails from the letting agents throughout our stay which were clearly just automated and not checked as no one replied to our issues. The house had clearly been nice and well thought out originally with white and grey colour scheme but it hasn’t been kept up to and feels like it needs a repaint, repairs and re-stock as well as better cleaning.
