This charming cottage is close to the pretty village of Eyeries on the Beara Peninsula at the foot of the Slieve Miskish Mountains. The village is awash with colourful cottages and famous for its panoramic views over the Atlantic.
Interiors have been tastefully restored to blend character and charm with modern comforts offering plenty of room for six guests wwith large sitting room with a woodburning stove, a large kitchen/dining room and three pretty bedrooms. This is a great base for getting out and about and exploring this beautiful coastline.
Eyeries is idyllic… A colourful and vibrant village on the Wild Atlantic Way. Stroll around the shops, stop off at one of the cafes for breakfast, wander around Kentigern's Church with its beautiful stained glass windows. There are a couple of lively pubs too, perfect for a pint with lunch. The village has also won several gold and silver awards in the small village category of the Tidy Towns competition. Head to the beautiful beach for a picnic on the sands and a paddle. This is also a great base for walking or touring with the nearby Beara Way.
Visit the fishing port of Castletownbere famous for the freshest seafood which is caught and landed here before heading to the top restaurants in Europe. Discover the islands of Bere and take the cable car to Dursey island, you may even spot a whale or a pod of dolphins! There’s another lovely sandy beach at Allihies… Then of course there’s the walking. A beautiful area just waiting to be discovered!
