Positive: The hotel is 5 minutes on foot from the Shirahama Beach and the town center with the onsets, shops and restaurants. The staff is very helpful (and speaks reasonable english) and friendly. On the day of our departure, we where given a complimentary transfer to the train station. We asked for a taxi - we got a car with a driver from the hotel. The hotel has everything you need. A pool, 2 large restaurants (however expensive) a massive lobby and the location.

Negative: It is a bit of a weird match between the original style when the hotel was build (I guess 70ish-80ish) and refurbed new looks. The elevators are old, the furniture in the lobby looks very dated and also the bath room (in our room) looked aged. The room itself was refurbished and was really large. Nice beds, great view, proper Wifi. And my biggest negative was the price/value equation. Granted we visited the hotel during probably the busiest week of the year, but it was too much money for the overall experience.

Summary: Great location - great service - good food. Don't overpay.
