We decorated and equipped this apartment for us, because we spend our holidays there. You will feel at home during your stay, with all modern comforts and designer decoration.
We practice a reasonable price policy (which also includes a cleaning service at the end of the stay, so as to simplify your life and ensure you a "nickel" apartment on your arrival) and we work without intermediaries. We want to build a relationship of trust with the vacationers who choose our apartment.

NIEUWPOORT BAD PLAGE
Who says Nieuwpoort, of course thinks of the sea and the beach. Here, you are the hosts of a family resort that offers an “ocean” of beaches and recreational areas. A stroll along the water is an unforgettable experience filled with amazing discoveries. Collecting shells or observing flowers and plants in the hollow of the dunes is an adventure, and not only for children.
The 2-kilometer-long and 40-meter-wide pedestrian embankment shows once again that Nieuwpoort is the family seaside resort par excellence.
Only a small portion of the dunes of Nieuwpoort, namely the western part joining the Karthuizerduinen of Oostduinkerke, is used as a recreational area. This plot is delimited by the following streets: the Elisalaan, the place Sint-Bernardus, the Georges Rodenbachlaan, the Emile Verhaerenlaan, the Louisweg and the Kinderlaan. The highest peaks rise 20 m above sea level. However, the average height varies between 6 and 10 m. Only a few plants, including seagrass and quackgrass, are physiologically adapted to germinate and grow on sterile sand. Their extensive networks of roots provide some protection and stability to the strip of dunes.
To the west of Nieuwpoort-Ville, adjacent to the Canadalaan, lies a second little-known dune domain: the Littobos (Litto wood), spanning middle-aged dunes.
The Estacade West, built in 1865, is 490 meters long, while the Estacade East, dating from the same year, sinks into the sea over a length of 543 meters. At the end of the booms is a lantern and a fog horn, housed in what resembles miniature lighthouses. During the two world wars, the booms were seriously damaged, not to say destroyed; each time they were rebuilt.
These two booms are a must for tourists. Ideal for a breath of fresh air. Angling or plaice fishing is a very popular activity.
In the harbor channel, a ferry links the two banks of the Yser. The service operates only on weekends, holidays and during school holidays, from sunrise to sunset.
This ferry service will then become an essential part of the coast's cycle tourism circuit, which will link all the seaside resorts over a distance of around 70 km.
The fishing port is located in the northwest part of the city and has evolved historically with it. Along the quay which stretches for about one kilometer are moored multicolored fishing boats. Connoisseurs will recognize three different kinds of boats, which each fulfill a specific role in fishing: shrimpers, coastal trawlers or small trawlers and large trawlers.
The municipal "fish market" was built in two stages. The original building from 1952 was enlarged in 1972 to reach its current size.
The fish sold at auction in Nieuwpoort is caught in the North Sea, in waters near the coast or to the west. Boats that fish near the coast are maximum 48 hours at sea, while those that fish in the west stay there for about 5 days.
On boats, the fish is kept in the best conditions and therefore deserves the highest quality label during the auction.
Outside of periods of heavy weather, fishing is practiced from Monday to Saturday. The fish is sold daily at the auction at 7 or 8am. It’s Monday, Wednesday and Friday that you can best immerse yourself in the atmosphere of these sales.
