Sleep under the stars and wake up to sweeping mountain views in this amazing bubble dome! This is the ultimate bubble glamping experience, you have to experience it to believe it. It's tucked out of the way in a dense forest, you won't believe how peaceful it is! You're just a few miles up Hwy 67 to Cripple Creek with small shops, restaurants, and some of Colorado's only casinos! *This is an amazing spot, but please make sure to read the disclaimers below to make sure this experience is for you!
The Space:
This bubble glamping experience has amenities that are sure to help you forget you are camping:
- King sized 4-poster bed, with privacy curtains.
- 55-inch 4K Smart TV
- Chair and ottoman to sit on and take in the view (plus the bed)
- Heating and A/C combo unit to help normalize temperature (see note below)
- Water dispenser for hot/cold water
- Mini-fridge
- Microwave
- Coffee pot
- Clothes rack
- Composting toilet (see note below)
Layout:
- Bubble dome with entrance corridor and two rooms.
- You enter through a zippered "airlock", into the main unit.
- The larger room has the king-sized bed, TV, and chair as well as clear walls/ceiling for amazing views!
- Second room has mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, clothes rack and more. The second room does not have clear walls (though has a small skylight) and provides privacy throughout your stay.
Guest Access:
You'll have full access to the entire bubble dome, including the surrounding forest. There is lots of Bureau of Land Management (Colorado public) land around here as well! There's plenty of room for parking, just make sure not to block the road.
The Neighborhood:
You'll be just 0.8 miles off Highway 67, and under 4 miles (7 minutes) to Cripple Creek, a beautiful mining town that sits at an elevation of 9,494 feet. You'll drive through a county area that is an eclectic mix of million-dollar mansions and old shacks on your way to the bubble dome. The 0.8 mile drive off the highway is on a maintained dirt road (and plowed in the winter). You'll turn right after a trucking yard, pass a few houses, and come to this bubble dome near the end of the road. Refer to photos for a map of where to go once you reach the property.
Getting Around:
If you're looking to walk around, hike, or bring your bike/ATV/etc. there's plenty of room around here. If you're looking for food or shopping or gambling at the casino, Cripple Creek is just a 7 minute drive away, and you can get to Divide in 25 minutes. Colorado Springs is 1 hour away. If you're wanting to hit the slopes, Breckenridge and Monarch are both about 2 hours away. **4WD recommended for winter months.
Other Things to Note:
This incredible and unique listing is a bubble glamping experience. If you haven't stayed in a bubble (like most of us), please set your expectations that this is very different from staying in a house in some of the following ways:
- This is glamping (as in glamorous camping), so you can expect that some things are a bit like camping, while we've done our best to make it as much like not-camping as we can.
- The bubble itself is a tent that is perpetually inflated by a blower, it's reasonably quiet because it's under the decking. Because the bubble is pressurized, you enter through an airlock. It's important only one side of the airlock is open at a time or the bubble will deflate.
- There is a heater and A/C unit that help keep the temperature normalized. However, because there isn't much insulation, it can be very hot in the day when the sun is beating on it, and the heater may not keep up at night when it gets cold. We provide extra blankets for night and recommend getting out and about in the daytime. *During winter months: As a friendly reminder, this is camping in the Rocky Mountains in winter, so please check the weather and prepare accordingly for your stay.
- You're in the Colorado mountains, so there is lots of wildlife. Do not leave food in the bubble (unless it is sealed in the mini-fridge), and make sure any trash is placed in the bear-proof dumpster down the road.
- Right now we have a composting toilet set up in the second room. This unit holds waste and vents it outside the bubble while it composts using a mixture. There are 2 compartments in the unit, one for solids and one for liquids. It's important that no liquids get in the solids container or it will start to smell. We'd love feedback on this setup from guests!
- Utilities (specifically electricity) are more spotty in this remote area than they are in the city. It's still pretty rare, but be aware that it may happen. If it does, we have a battery backup for only the blower (to keep the bubble inflated); if the power stays off for long, it may exhaust the battery. If that happens, make sure to stay under in the bed or the entryway as they both have their own structure. The bubble itself is not airtight so no need to worry about breathing. If you do trip a breaker, they are in the garage.
- As there is no running water, we also do not provide soap/shampoo/etc. (because that's just sticky). If you want to shower, we recommend the recreation center in Cripple Creek; day passes are dirt cheap and their facilities are nice.
- Internet can also be a bit spotty as it is beamed in wirelessly. Especially during storms its quality can vary. Then again, if you're coming up here to hang out on the internet you're doing it wrong. :)
AT&T and T-Mobile users do not get good signal here. Verizon and Sprint seem to be good (LTE). We do have fast wifi to help you stay connected, and you can use wifi calling.
While the road is plowed, we do recommend 4WD especially during winter months for the large snow amounts Colorado mountains get each year.

This is a remote area and we will not be onsite. If you have trouble we can be reached via messenger and can make recommendations on who to call in case of emergency.
