Refuge Nantaux is in the centre of Montriond with the free bus stop, restaurants, bars and mini supermarket less than 200 metres away. Modern in design with exposed wood alpine detail. The Refuge is arranged as a duplex with 2 bedrooms on the lower floor.
Whilst spacious at nearly 90m2 it still feels cosy, full of alpine charm and a relaxing sanctuary as soon as you walk through the door. The attention to detail for our guests experience has been our priority.
The space
Refuge Nantaux has its own private entrance at the rear of the apartment building away from the road and it is laid out over two floors giving all guests their own space. Modern Alpine style with a rustic charm you will love the ideal location and comfort inside.
Not just for skiing in Winter it’s perfect in the Summer for mountain biking, road biking, hiking and climbing and other adventurous activities in the mountains and on the Lac, there is so much to explore.
The Refuge sleeps 8 people and is perfect for 2 families with 4 children split over 3 bedrooms, two King size bedrooms and a large third bedroom with 2 bunkbeds. The bunk beds are also XL so would also be suitable for adults. The bedrooms are so quite you will love you nights sleep.
The open plan living area has a well-equipped fully fitted kitchen and stocked with everything you’ll need to cook up a fancy 3 course meal from scratch or simply reheat from the numerous selection of meal delivery providers in the area.
In the kitchen there is a Kettle, Toaster, Microwave, Slow Cooker, Fondue, Raclette, Lavazza Coffee Pod machine, Lavazza Milk Frother, Cafetière, Tea Pot, Hob, Oven, Dishwasher, Fridge, Freezer & Tumble Dryer.
To help you enjoy your holiday we supply you with Yorkshire Teabags, Lavazza Coffee Pods and basic kitchen essentials.
The open plan enables you all to socialise together around the kitchen island, breakfast bar, dining room or seating area. From the comfort of the sofa you can take in the spectacular mountain view of the Pointe de Nantaux. The dining table is seated for 6 but is extendable for 8 people.
The wide screen TV is perfect for you to settle in to watch some of our DVD selection or connect to any of your online streaming services (including Netflix, Amazon Video, Apple TV, Disney+ etc) through the smart box. Alternatively you may want to sit around the dining table and play some of the many board games, traditional and modern to keep you entertained.
Bedroom 1 & 2 have European King Size beds, white Egyptian Cotton bedding and duvets that will ensure you have a restful nights sleep. Extra pillows are available should you require them.
Bedroom 3 is a spacious room made up of 2 large bunk beds that are suitable for adults with storage underneath. There is hanging space, bean bags and a wide screen tv that can connect to your own game consoles away from the main sitting area.
The Bathroom has a bath, with a rainfall and directional shower head, large washbasin and heated towel rail for your comfort.
Ski's and Boot storage is on the lower ground in the Boot Room & Cave. In here there are ski racks and boot storage and also heaters should you need to dry wet clothing.
We work with a local Ski Hire provider and have secured a discounted rate for our guests and they deliver and fit your ski’s at the Refuge.
In the Cave we also have 6 bike racks for storage with direct access outside through the Garage door.
The Refuge couldn't be better located in Montriond for skiing with the free Navette bus stop within 200 metres from our front door. Bus Stops on either side of the road will take you towards the Ardent Telecabine within 10 minutes to ski in Les Lindarets or if you prefer skiing directly in Morzine or Les Gets in 10-12 minutes plus a walk to Pléney Telécabine or Super Morzine.
If you prefer to be more flexible and drive to the Ardent Telécabine or Nyon Telepherique you can park in the car parks for free.
The refuge is only 5 minutes from the beautiful Lac du Montriond popular in summer and winter for walking, Ice Diving, Wild Swimming and summer activities including horse riding, crazy golf, paddleboarding and kayaking.
You will have your own private entrance to the apartment and after unloading directly outside the front door you can park in any of the unallocated spaces at the front of the building. Parking is free
There is also a separate entrance when leaving for or returning from skiing so you don't need to walk through the apartment in ski gear and for bikes in summer.
Other things to note
To give our guests peace of mind when booking, we have introduced a number of measures to ensure your safety:
- Self check-in. You will be given the code to the keysafe before your arrival so you can let yourselves in at your own convenience after 4pm.
- Enhanced cleaning measures. The property will be fully cleaned and then fully disinfected prior to your arrival, with extra attention paid to high contact touch points i.e. door handles, remotes, key pads
