Come to Golden Point and enjoy reflecting in beautiful surroundings looking out on the Chewton forest. The stone house has been lovingly improved by various owners over the years and artistic touches are everywhere. The current owners have made the stone cottage more comfortable by adding a freestanding bath, two wood heaters, split system and Smart TV. All the modern comforts are here but you feel transported into another time and place. This goldfields haven is perfect for friends or families.
The house has a very generous floor plan for a two bedroom house of this era, with the two bedrooms spaced well apart and two separate living areas. Over the years the original stone cottage has been extended to include a large kitchen, dining and living area with wood fireplace and there is another separate double living area also with a wood fire, Smart TV and games. The two bedrooms are at different ends of the house. A complete bathroom with bath, walk in shower, vanity and toilet is shared by guests. Outside there is a pool/table tennis room that may be access from a side door or opened to enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. The property is situated on the Goldfields Track and is perfect for nature lovers that may wish to do part of the track or simply go in search of local birdlife.
Guests have access to the entire property with the exception of a separate stone studio that is currently used for storage. On Golden Point is unfortunately not suited to dogs due to the local wildlife and neighbouring livestock. Young children will need to be supervised as the property is not fenced and adjoins public bushland and a creek.
