6 Bedroom House in Oxford
Come enjoy our six bedroom, 2 bathroom updated lakefront home! The first floor features a fully equipped kitchen with newer appliances, coffee maker, large lobster pot, toaster and blender. The dining area can seat up to 8 with perfect lake views. The living space has an extra large sectional and flat screen HD TV with cable. Also on the first floor is the master bedroom with a king sized bed, beautiful view of the lake and flat screen HD TV and spacious closet. There is also a second bedroom with a queen sized bed and 3rd HD TV with cable. Finally on the first floor is a newly renovated bathroom with bathtub shower and plenty of hooks and racks for all of your towels and wet bathing suits!
On the second floor (please note the stairs up are steeper than standard) features 4 more bedrooms! There is a bedroom with a amazing lake view, queen sized bed and ceiling fan. Another lake view bedroom with two twin beds and ceiling fan. And two bedrooms facing the back of the home, one with a queen bed and one with a full sized bed, both with ceiling fans. All bedrooms on the second floor have comfortable sized closets and high wood paneled ceilings. There is also a newly renovated bathroom on the second floor with a standing shower.
In the basement (semi-finished) you will find a play area with an additional TV and plenty of board games and DVD's for your entertainment. You will also find an air hockey table, additional full sized fridge for your convenience and a washer and dryer you are welcome to use! In the garage you will find 2 kayaks, a 16" canoe, both adult and child life jackets, lawn chairs, corn-hole and several noodles and floaty toys all for you to enjoy.
In the yard, you will find a lake facing fire pit, an older basketball hoop and plenty of space for lawn games. We offer parking for up to 4 cars. We live on a very quiet road, perfect for kids to bike or to take evening strolls. There is a 2-side wrap around deck, with bench seating throughout. We also have picnic style tables that seats up to 12 for dining al fresco and a large grill you can use. There is also a level seating area next to the lake perfect for enjoying the relaxing view, watching your kids swim, taking in the sunrise or enjoying an evening cocktail. We also have a newer dock featuring a place to tie up a boat and stairs that offer easy access into the sandy bottom wading area of the lake. The lake in front of our home is very shallow. At the end of the dock it is about 4 feet. Perfect for swimming (especially for children), floating around or kayaking / canoeing. It is not deep enough however for diving or jumping off the dock. Beyond the wading area the bottom does get mucky, very typical for Maine lakes. If you bring a motor boat, you will need to be very careful navigating the shallow cove out to the deeper waters of the lake.
We welcome one dog, no more than 50 lbs. For larger than 50lb dogs, or for additional dogs, please contact owner to negotiate options. Dogs are required to be on leash when outdoors, unless swimming in the lake. You must also clean-up after all dog guests, keep them off the indoor furniture and beds and keep them from visiting neighboring properties. No cats please.
There is much to do within a 10 min to an hour drive. Oxford features a grocery store, Walmart, ice cream and pizza places along with Oxford Speedway and a Casino. Portland and Freeport offer great day trip options, not too far away.
Our home also offers free wireless internet and a landline phone. No smoking. No fireworks. Quiet hours (to respect our full-time neighbors) are 10 PM to 8 AM.
