Part of the original Rainbow Camp Resort of East Battle Lake! This cabin was originally built in the 1950's as part of the resort and is now owned and restored by the original family. The camp closed in the 1970's and this cabin itself has been updated, but the camp feels same with 100 feet of spectacular and pristine lake frontage with gorgeous panoramic views of the lake and Lutheran Island Camp. You will absolutely love the lakefront patio with firepit and the huge yard with plenty of trees for shade on hot summer days!
Recent renovations include an updated bathroom, and two new bedrooms on the lower level, new TV's, new beds, and updated comfy leather furniture. The yard is huge! You will experience a truly rare and nostalgic vacation staying in this cabin!
On the main level, you will find the kitchen, bathroom, first bedroom and the large living/dining area with beautiful views of the lake where you are right up next to the water. Use the indoor stairs to the lower level where you will find two more updated bedrooms and access to the patio and the lakefront.
Step out to the lakeside patio with fire pit and chairs to enjoy morning coffee and the sights and sounds of the lake. The rental comes complete with a brand new dock & a boat lift to accommodate a small fishing boat.

For those that can't disconnect, the cabin also includes TV and free Wi-Fi! Grab that streaming device and get in the car! And don't worry, you won't be roughing it, there's an air conditioning.
Situated a few miles west of the town of Henning, clean and clear East Battle Lake boasts some of the best fishing around. The lake is quite large, but fairly quiet. This recreational lake is perfect for fishing, skiing, wake boarding canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and all water based activities, including floating on an air mattress!! During the winter months the lake is perfect for ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and is a perfect base camp to access the endless miles of groomed snowmobile trails.
We have a strict limit of 7 people in the main cabin. There is a separate "dry cabin" that can accommodate up to 6 additional guests located just a few steps away from the main cabin. This cabin is an open concept with a queen bed, full bed and two twin beds with a screened front porch. It can be used for sleeping rooms only and guests would need to share the bathroom of the main cabin. Should you decide to take advantage of this extra cabin, additional charges would apply at $25/per day, per person at a minimum of $100/night. Please note: It cannot be rented separately from the main cabin, only as an add-on. There is no A/C in the extra little cabin.
Campers/RV's: You may be able to bring a camper to accommodate up to 7 additional people for an additional $50/night fee. Camper hook up is available on the backlot.
The kitchen is fully equipped to make meals, or take a quick trip into Henning, Battle Lake, Ottertail, Clitherall or Vining to visit one of the many shops, eateries, bars and restaurants. There's also nearby golf courses, horseback riding and even a few breweries. Feel free to inquire with any questions you may have. And further, since the both the owners and rental manager lives on this lake, we can respond quickly to questions should they arise during your stay. In fact, your only disappointment will be when you have to leave!!
What to bring? Beach towels, life jackets, fishing poles, food, beverages and your swim trunks! Bring charcoal if you'd like to use the charcoal grill. Propane is provided for the gas grill. Linens are provided as well as bath towels.
Rules? Pretty easy. Be respectful of our cabin, the neighbors and the lake. That means have tons of fun, but no loud parties or ruckus at night that may keep our neighbors awake. Pick up after yourselves and of course, please keep trash and chemicals out of our beautiful lake - we want to keep it just as pretty for when you come back next year!
