Summary: “The villa is beautiful and finished to a very high standard. It has good facilities; a well stocked kitchen, lovely seating area for eating outside, 3 good sized bedrooms with the addition of a large open mezzanine floor with double bed. The pool is of a good size, very clean and well maintained. The villa is set in its own large, walled garden with electric gates, so absolute privacy. There is also a pond which is a lovely feature. Mr and Mrs Picard are extremely welcoming and on hand to assist if necessary. However, unless you need anything, they leave you very much to yourself. The property is about a 45 minute (very pleasant) walk from the attractive village of Figanieres, which has a small supermarket for supplies. There are many small traditional French towns to explore in the area, but a car is essential to get around properly. There are two bicycles supplied for residents’ use. My only suggestion for improvement would be to increase this number to maybe four or five. There is a local creperie/pizzeria about a 10 minute walk away, which had very nice food. In order to get to the villa, we flew from London to Nice and picked up a hire car there. The drive to the villa takes about one hour. Overall, I would definitely recommend this property. It is excellent for a relaxing, private holiday and is suitable for both adults and children.”
