It is a TRUE ski-in/out property, which means you can literally ski from the back door to the lift. Most properties that advertise "ski in/ski out" actually are NOT as they require a lengthy walk or bus ride before you can put on your skis, so check before you book. That is significant because everyone in your party can come and go as they please...no schlepping equipment, or dealing with traffic, parking, ski busses, or the long gondola line.
You'll also be only a three-block walk from the free shuttle which offers a 5-minute ride to either the lifts or downtown Breckenridge. The Nordic Center which offers world-class XC skiing is also only a 3 block walk.
Whether you are one family or three, the wide-open main level floor plan will easily accommodate everyone, with a large dining area, majestic stone fireplace, grand piano, and high-end TV and sound system. The gourmet kitchen, with Sub Zero and Wolf appliances and a built in coffee maker, is fully appointed for everything you'll need to create an elaborate meal or lay out a quick-and-easy buffet. While the cooks are at work, the rest of the crowd can join the conversation on the 8 bar stools at the counters surrounding the kitchen.
The home is situated on a stunning, one-acre lot, ringed by trees for privacy, peace and quiet -- so unusual for a property this close to the slopes. A built-in oxygen system has piping to all the bedrooms which dramatically helps with adjustment to the altitude. (Note that only 2-3 of the bedrooms can receive oxygen at any given time.)
