Raider Hideaway is a beautiful fully updated 2 bedroom 1 bath property located one block from Texas Tech University. This home boasts tasteful decorations and new furniture throughout to help make your stay more than just the run-of-the-mill Airbnb experience. The bedrooms contain new beds to ensure that you get the best night's sleep while the kitchen is has everything you need to enjoy takeout or your own home-cooked meal. This house is a basement setup duplex with its own separate address.
The first bedroom features a queen size bed with the most comfortable new mattress you will sleep on while traveling. The second bedroom contains two twin beds with the same type of new mattresses available in the other room. In addition, the rooms also have bedside lamps and alarm clocks with additional USB charging capabilities.
The shared bathroom is clean updated and stocked with all the linens and toiletries one might need throughout their stay. The hair dryer and other miscellaneous items are stored in the cabinet directly behind the bathroom door.
The living room features plenty of seating with comfy futon sleepers that also allow for additional places for guests to sleep. This area also has a 45-inch Roku enabled TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime already setup for guests to use.
The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook your own meals during your stay although we do not have a range/oven combo to cook on here or a dishwasher. There are coffee filters, basic cooking needs, (oil spices etc.) and plenty of dishwashing soap. Please make sure to handwash items before leaving.
The dining area has plenty of seating for up to 6 guests with the table allowing for 4 and the wall mounted bar top allowing for another 2. The living room is another perfect place to enjoy a meal.
Parking to the right (west) of the side basement entrance has space for two vehicles in the driveway and the street parking is free and available as well. Just make sure to park in the correct direction and pay attention to any parking signs.
The entire basement house is available for your private use.
Guests have access to the entire 2-bedroom 1 bathroom basement unit. This unit has its own private entrance. The top unit is reserved for other guests.
Our interaction with guests is very minimal. The front door has a keypad so that you may let yourselves in and out. Once you have booked, please refer to the check-in instructions for entry codes that you will receive before your arrival on the Airbnb app. Please only use the keypad lock to lock the door. Should you need anything during your stay we live nearby and will usually be available to help at any time. We are always available by text or phone call and pride ourselves on our quick responses. Please use the Airbnb app or call or text us for any communication. E-mail does not work, and we will not see your messages. Raider Hideaway is located in the Historic South Overton neighborhood which is just east of Texas Tech University. You can walk to campus in less than 3-4 minutes. If you prefer other transportation, you can usually Uber to the campus Broadway or downtown areas for around $5. The house is a .10 mile east of University (a major street) which makes the area very safe.
Very centrally located! TTU campus and stadium can be accessed by simply heading west towards University. The house is located directly off University and makes travel very convenient. The house is very close to Broadway and downtown for live music drinks or dinner. Guests can access the loop by heading south on University. Other than Uber options for ground transportation in Lubbock are poor and although the neighborhood is convenient to the University and downtown a car is still recommended.
