Summary: Disappointing 1 night stay on our road trip through British Columbia. Check in went fine. On entering the room it smelt of damp and the carpet had seen better days. A small storage area between the 2 bedrooms that needed a light to see, which flicked constantly when on. Had to go back to reception to ask for a kettle for the room to make tea, which needed signed out of inventory for. Although the beds felt newer, the rest of the room felt dated and damp/depressed. The noise as people walked past could be heard really easily so we were kept awake in the evening and early in the morning, which wasn't ideal. Breakfast was complete chaos (families gathering piles of food to take with them for the day in particular), not entirely the poor staff member's fault trying to keep things under control but I had to ask for hot water to make a cup of tea as there was yet again only coffee facilities there. The small toasting machine was right in the corner and people were then queueing to use it in front of all the other food/drink and nobody could get through. All the crockery and cutlery were disposable - again not ideal when you break a knife trying to butter toast or have leftover milk from cereal you can do nothing with.
