Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This is truly a unique and spectacular property. The sheer living space size and unique woodwork and features are over the top. It is about 1.5 KM from town center, we had a car so no issue. Parking included. It was nice and quiet but in a zone with residential / industrial/commercial mixed in. We could hear the river from the balcony but could not see it for the trees. A great curved screen TV. Full kitchen and dining area.

Negative: We had to drive to Garmish - Partenkirchen to get the keys for the place in Mittenwald. We came from Salzburg that day so it added on an extra 40+ minutes to drive past Mittenwald to Garmish and then drive back to Mittenwald. Also the property management place was closing by 6PM and we had challenges getting through busy highway traffic on time. We required additional communications to arrange for our possible late arrival to pick up keys. However, they were quite responsive and accommodating about it. We were allowed to leave the keys in the unit rather that drive them back to Garmish upon check out. A lock box installed with keys or a door code to enter the unit would greatly enhance the experience. WIFI was a bit weak at times but usually came back in a few minutes.
