Seascape views overlook South Mission Beach & Dunk Island,
nestled in a tropical paradise surrounded by rainforest, yet very close to the beach, so close in fact you can hear the waves lapping the shore. Ideal for couples romantic getaway, or relaxing holiday with family and friends, one week relaxing here is like a month away.
The house is fully air conditioned and can be configured for 2 to 8 guests. The layout of the house also makes it ideal for families or bridal parties attending a wedding close by. All configurations have access to the main living area, powder room, kitchen, laundry, double garage, courtyard, pool area, terrace with daybed, outdoor dining and kitchen including BBQ and pizza oven.

About the house:
The driveway up to the house, winds up the hill through the rainforest and the view at the top is well worth it. The courtyard entrance takes you through tropical gardens with daybeds for relaxing and enjoying the sea breezes.
Entering through the double doors into the main living area you will be amazed at the 180 degree ocean views that stretch out beyond the terrace and over the rainforest treetops.
The main living area includes a comfortable lounge area with large TV, sound bar and DVD player with Apple TV, for when you need a break from the view. An eight seat dining table allows you to enjoy meals with a beautiful rainforest backdrop.
Alternatively, enjoy meals out on the terrace overlooking the beach and islands, an outdoor kitchen is equipped with a Weber BBQ and pizza oven. Below the terrace is the saltwater pool surrounded by rainforest and those ocean views. The pool has seats built in around three sides, a great place to hang out in the afternoon watching the sunset.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooktop, oven, microwave, toaster, jug, built in steamer and Nespresso and Miele coffee machines. Other appliances include nutri-bullet, sandwich maker, popcorn maker and ice cream maker. There's a long list of pantry stores provided including coffee, tea, sugar, flour, condiments, cooking oil, herbs and spices.
Configurations:
Sleeps 2 - Master bedroom
Watch the sunrise come up each morning over Dunk Island from the luxury of your king size bed. There is a sitting area to enjoy the views and direct access through large sliding doors that open onto the terrace. The master includes a walk in robe and ensuite with a large spa bath, double vanities and a huge double shower room that overlooks the rainforest. Note: Bedroom 2, Bedroom 3 and family room will be closed when house is only booked for 1-2 guests.
Sleeps 3-4 - Master bedroom plus bedroom 2
On the right side of the house is bedroom 2, this bedroom can be configured as either a king bed or 2 long single beds. This room also has its own ensuite and large walk in robe and the picturesque views to the rainforest and gardens beyond. Note: Bedroom 3 and family room will be closed when only booked for 3-4 guests.
Sleeps 6-8 - Master bedroom, bedroom 2, plus bedroom 3, second living/sleeping area and kitchen.
To the left of the entrance is another wing, this includes another living area for reading, games or listening to music. This living area looks out onto the courtyard garden and has a divan that converts into 2 single beds, with powder room close by. This leads into a second kitchen area, great for when sharing with families or groups of friends. Through to bedroom 3 with a queen size bed, ensuite, walk in robe and views over the rainforest.
Other areas:
The laundry is equipped with a washing machine and separate dryer. There is a clothes line and drying racks. For extra storage of drinks and food there is a separate upright fridge and freezer.
There is also a double garage and another parking bay at the front of the house.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD:
South Mission Beach has a long sandy beach that stretches for miles and is directly opposite Dunk Island with water sports area near the stinger nets. At South Mission Beach there is a great Thai restaurant and a local fish & chip shop at the caravan park, and the restaurant at the surf club.
Wongaling Beach is about 5 mins drive, with supermarket and bottle shop, restaurants and also the water taxi which can take you over to Dunk Island. North Mission Beach is another 5 minutes drive where you will find shops, galleries, cafes and bars.

GETTING AROUND:
South Mission Beach is about 2 hours drive south of Cairns, 2 ½ hours drive north of Townsville.
Car is advisable if you want to do a bit of exploring around the area, but also as the house is on top of a hill and while you can walk to beach, the return trip is all up hill.
If however, you just want to arrive and not leave, Sugarland car rental does a day rate from Cairns to Mission or Mission to Cairns and there is a taxi service at Mission Beach.
