Will's Place is located in the small town of Glendale, UT, central to numerous national parks including Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon (North Rim), Escalante Grand Staircase, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Lake Powell, and Red Hollow Hike (Orderville). It is an ideal home base for seeing all of these parks.
There's plenty to do with state and national parks nearby, but if you're looking for something more low-key for a day or two, consider the local hikes featured on the flyers in our house book: Squaw, Bunting and K-hill, all offering wonderful views. As well, Jacob Hamblin park has a playground, field, pool with slides, splash pad, and tennis/pickleball courts; Kanab City Library is nearby and often has books for sale; Ranchos Park has great baseball fields; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has great guided tours (they welcome donations). Also consider the local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops.
Getting Around:
This home has convenient access to Hwy 89A/89 which takes you to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. You'll be within walking distance of the city park, the small country store, the post office, and the Virgin River.
Kanab, UT is 30 minutes away. Page, AZ airport is 1.75 hours away; St. George, UT airport is 2 hours away; Las Vegas airport is 3.75 hours away. Get around in town mostly via car.
