In this premier neighborhood, capture the sunrise over the Kenai Mountains and The Harding Glacier Ice Field, while over-looking beautiful Kachemak Bay in this spacious and well-appointed 3 bedroom, 2 full bath (and 1 half bath) family home.
Located, approximately 3 miles East of downtown Homer, this property is perfect for large groups and plenty of space for all. The main floor features a master bedroom with a new king-sized bed, attached private bathroom with tub and shower, a walk in closet, and small private deck facing Kachemak Bay. The living room area seats many comfortably, includes couches with push button reclining options, and an extremely large wi-fi connected flat screen television. The fully equipped kitchen opens up into the dining area and living room, both with bay views. The kitchen table seats 6-8 and breakfast bar seats 2. From the kitchen, you have access to the wrap around deck where you can capture the spectacular Homer Spit, majestic glaciers and the vast Kachemak Bay and surrounding Kenai mountains. You'll observe the comings and goings of boats on the water, eagles flying in the air, the occasional moose (sometimes with calves), Sandhill Cranes and Ring-necked pheasants that frequent the property. The deck also includes a propane grill to cook the days catch or that perfect steak.
Downstairs you'll find 2 separate bedrooms with queen beds, a large living room space with wi-fi connected T.V. and another full bathroom with shower/tub, washing machine and dryer. The downstairs family room has a set of sturdy wooden bunkbeds, good for children or adults.
Staying here, you are a 10 minute walk to Homer's one and only (and best) Bagel Shop. Walking distance to a grocery store and drive through coffee as well as a local-favorite Alaskan owned and operated winery (The Bear Creek Winery).
Paved walking and biking trails are close by to access these local attractions. A playground and pump park are a short few minutes-walk from the house.
