Our cozy 1 bed/1 bath guesthouse is located in a gated community on an 11+ acre estate. Separate from the main home on the property, you'll have privacy and a comfy space to relax and unwind. The guesthouse sleeps up to 4 - read on for more detail on sleeping arrangements.
SLEEPING:
- 1 Bedroom w/ king sized bed
- We provide an air mattress or there are 2 full-sized futon sofas in the living room should you wish to bring additional guests (up to 4 total).
KITCHEN:
- Stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils, basic seasonings and a Keurig coffee maker. There is a refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher.
BATHROOM:
- Full bath w/ jack and jill style access to both the bedroom and the living area. Shower (no tub) and stackable washer/dryer you're welcome to use.
We provide a starter kit of essentials that typically last through a long weekend: coffee k-cups, creamer and sugar, basic seasonings, paper towels, hand soaps/dish soap, dishwasher detergent and cleaning supplies. We provide a few rolls of toilet paper as well as a set of towels per guest. There is hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided.
OUTDOORS:
- Fire pit with Adirondack chairs (bring a bundle of wood or you’re free to gather wood from around the property)
- Parking for 1-2 vehicles.
- Charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal)
The main cabin is across the driveway, about 75 feet away. It may be occupied during your stay but rest assured, it's a separate space and the property is laid out to provide privacy to both homes.
Stairs*** The guesthouse is on the second level above a detached garage so there are stairs to get inside. Once you're inside you're on one level.
This is a rural setting so there are a few great spots to grab food within 15-20 minutes but the closest "larger" town is West Jefferson, about a 25-30 minute drive. It's a quaint and charming town that's definitely worth exploring. We recommend grabbing some essentials on your drive in.
Grayson Highlands State Park is about 35 minutes away, just over the border into Virginia. Scenic views, alpine-like peaks, waterfalls, overlooks and wild ponies - it's a "must-do" for many.
Contactless check in - you'll receive your key code to the door one day prior to arrival which will provide you access to come and go as you please.

There are two exterior cameras on the property. One trail camera faces the road into the property and takes still photos of cars entering and exiting via the driveway. One camera on the front of the guesthouse/garage records audio and video of the driveway. The cameras are on 24/7.
