Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location was perfect. It's close to the airport but the noise wasn't bothersome. Centrally located between Jackson and Grand Teton National Park. The kitchen was nicely updated and well stocked with items needed to cook your own meals. The home, in general, was tidy and comfortable. It isn't as updated as other places may be, but that didn't affect the comfort. They even had soap, shampoo, conditioner, and laundry detergent available, which was a pleasant surprise even though we had brought our own. I was also very pleased that I wasn't expected to do all the major cleaning like at other places I've stayed with with expensive cleaning fees, such as moping and vacuuming. Common sense, you make a mess, you clean it up, but I hate having to stress about cleaning it spotless to avoid additional fees. I didn't feel that at all here.

Negative: The shower heads were a little low for the taller family members. The shower on the main level is very small, but we were happy there was a second one available. The biggest inconvenience was the water issues, which hopefully won't be much of an issue once they've completed everything. Unfortunately, the first day there, the water main was struck by workers, and we were without water the majority of the day. It wouldn't have made much difference but we all slept in after being on the road for 2 days and then couldn't take showers, we had all woke up in time to use the toilet at least once but that was it. We then had to buy water to drink at the condo because they advised not drinking the water without boiling it for 10 minutes. We were left without water again a couple of days later, but we had already left for the day, and it was back on by the time we returned. They had told us that the work shouldn't affect our stay but it did which was disappointing. They were very good about keeping us up to date on the issues but did not offer suggestions for accommodations if the water had not come back on. It would have been nice to have a plan in place in case things didn't work out. There was never an offer of compensation. They did apologize for the inconvenience. I would also recommend they place a transition strip between the carpet and wood floor of the main level bedroom. I kept stepping on something sharp under the carpet in that area.
