The SUNSHINE COTTAGE ST PETE is a cozy, modern 1100 sq ft home that has been thoroughly remodeled to welcome up to 4 guests. This sunny home is a NO SMOKER & NO PET property since the owner is severely allergic.
Sunshine Cottage is available for one full week (7 night) stays. Check in is from 4PM onward on your arrival and checkout will by no later than 11AM upon departure.
We require all guests to meet us upon arrival for a meet and greet tour of the rental. Want to stay longer? We specialize in month or more stays and will offer a 10% discount if you do!

DETAILS OF THE SUNSHINE COTTAGE:
The Sunshine Cottage boasts a sunny & open floor plan with the large living room, kitchen, and dining room completely remodeled and ready to allow you to relax, cook, and enjoy your time together.
KITCHEN:
Stainless steel appliances and cookware are provided along with many other chef necessities from rice cooker, dutch oven, coffee maker, and even lobster crackers. Being a foodie and former Williams-Sonoma employee, the owner has this kitchen well-stocked and ready for you to enjoy whatever culinary adventure awaits you.
PORCH:
The roomy screened in porch is fantastic for yoga or enjoying the quiet while sipping coffee or working on one's laptop. Plenty of roomy and cushy seating with tables and an ottoman make this space a guest favorite to unwind. The expansive backyard also offers beautiful tropical vegetation and a outdoor dining area.
BATHROOM:
The lovingly restored green original tile welcome you to refresh and restore yourself while you use plenty of fluffy linens and the provided Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There is ample storage for your health and beauty items with a medicine cabinet, shower caddy, closet space, and wall organizers. The toilet has a Veken Ultra-Slim Bidet attachment. Hair dryer, bath mats, toilet paper, first-aid kit, etc are also provided. We also just added an on-demand hot water heater so everyone can have a toasty shower!
BEDROOMS:
Both are furnished with new and very comfortable medium firmness mattresses along with their 700 TC Egyptian cotton linens. Do you like to snuggle with extra layers? Not a worry, since you can choose a quilt, blankets, feather duvets, and extra pillows to make your slumber perfection. There is tons of dresser and closet space also to store your vacation clothing and if needed, an iron and petite ironing board are provided.
WORKSPACE:
If you have work while here, we have a designated work area with our desk which include a drawer full of basic must-haves such as pens, paper, envelopes, paperclips, etc.. The dining table and the walnut kitchen island also works fantastically if there is a need for more room to spread out.
AIR CONDITIONING & HEAT:
Each bedroom has its own window air conditioner with remote and ceiling fan. There is a large air conditioner with remote in the family room. Several portable electric heaters are provided to keep things cozy if the temperatures get cooler.
LAUNDRY:
Guests may use the wash machine and dryer to clean up to 2 loads per week---if you need to use it more than that you may either pay $5 each additional load plus any tax and VRBO fees or choose to go to the local laundry mat that is 2 blocks aways. Machine usage is monitored.
PARKING:
Are you driving an EV? We do have a fast charging outlet. Paved driveway in the back of the house holds up to 3 normal sized vehicles. NO RVs allowed.

BY RESERVING THE SUNSHINE COTTAGE ST PETE YOU & YOUR GUESTS AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING WHICH INCLUDES OUR HOUSE RULES:
*We require a copy of the driver's license of the guest making the reservation. Also, we require the first and last name of EACH guest at the time of reservation and confirmation that each guest agrees to the HOUSE RULES. All guests that are staying must be named at the time of the reservation since guests may NOT be added later, even if there is a spot.
*The Sunshine Cottage St Pete is for the use of the registered guests ONLY. No other visitors are allowed anywhere on the property.
*NO SMOKERS and NO PETS since owner is SEVERELY ALLERGIC.
*We love to welcome our guests personally and will give you a quick tour of the home along with your keyless entry code upon your arrival. This is required and not optional.
*To ensure the security of our home and guests we have a SECURITY CAMERA that is always on. This is non-negotiable. It is OUTSIDE of the house and is on the screened-in porch. It is located in the upper right corner above the back door facing the backyard.
*The property can get some road noise usually from 7AM to 7PM weekdays since it is on a main avenue. This is part of city life and is to be expected.
*You will have access to the entire house except for the owner's closet in the living room. You will be able to go in the garage through the kitchen door to do laundry but will NOT be able to park in there or have the main garage door access code.
*Guests may use the wash machine and dryer to clean up to 2 loads per week---if you need to use it more than that you may either pay $5 per additional load plus any tax and VRBO fees or choose to go to the local laundry mat that is 2 blocks aways. Yes, machine usage is monitored.
*Reserving guests staying 2 weeks or longer will allow hosts access to the VRBO every 2 weeks for routine cleaning. Cleaning is usually 12-3pm on Saturday. Note that this is required and is non-negotiable.
*When you check-out of the Sunshine Cottage St Pete, guests are to leave it in the same fresh and tidy condition that welcomed them. Remember, these things must be done and all guests must be out by 11 AM on your departure day.
1. Load dishwasher, run it, wash anything in the sink, and put all clean dishes away
2. Clean out fridge
3. Put all trash and recyclables in bins outside
4. Put used kitchen and bath linens in the bathroom closet hampers
5. Wipe up & sweep up your messes during your stay
