Summary: The contact with the owner was always good. The description how to find the apartment was detailed and easy to follow. We were met by a lady who takes care of the property. We found the apartment well equipped and clean. Towels and sheets are provided as well as cleaning supplies and some spices. Some extra mugs and a tea pot would make it complete. The balcony is large and offers a great view to the marina and invites to have your meals there. Bakeries and a supermarket are in walking distance. The small town of Le Marin is more relaxed with modern Marina facilities, restaurants, souvenir shops, scuba diving schools (Plongée Paradise we found very good) etc. The highly praised restaurants Ti Toques and Zansibar we found too expensive and had much better meals at the Creole Village in Les Trois Ilets (Bout) where we liked to stroll around. The beach of Anse Arlet is nice to swim at, but we preferred really good snorkeling at nearby Anse Dufour. Other good beaches are a 10 minute from the apartment. Our favorite was Les Salines. If you prefer an authentic lively environment with local families living next door and everything closeby the apartment will suit you perfectly. If you are looking for a quiet secluded vacation rental it is not. We enjoyed our stay.
