Summary: If it's an emergency stay for one night, it might be ok. The staff is friendly and basic amenities are provided. Asakusabashi station is practically on the doorstep. The reasons why I will not book at Hotel Mercury again are: The entrance and reception only accessible via a spiral staircase to the basement which is a challenge with suitcases. The corridors are bare with lots of damage and the atmosphere is cold and uninviting. The rooms are poorly air-conditioned, the furnishings are outdated and worn and unfortunately my room smelled of the same. I couldn't enter the bathroom at first because the smell of toilet was very strong. The internet was unstable, the temperature of the shower was a game of skill and the rooms were very noisy. I would advise women in particular not to book.
