Summary: The Tal-Barun Farmhouse certainly has plenty of character, very rustic in style. I was looking for a property that offered privacy and I found this here, in what was a pleasant, largely residential area. I enjoyed having three options to sit in the sun - roof terrace, 1st floor balcony and ground floor pool area. San Lawrenz is relatively quiet but there are good bus routes and Victoria is only a short journey away. Although generally peaceful I was woken early in the morning a few times by what was either gunfire from local farmland or possibly building construction noises - I never figured out what the noises were. You also get the local fishmonger doing the rounds once a week who wanders the streets shouting out his offerings. Although in a reasonably quiet street, because the main bedroom is on the street side of the property, I found if I wanted to sleep in the afternoon I was disturbed slightly by traffic noises. Would I stay here again? Yes!
