Positive: The property was very good, clean and had most of the things we needed available. The instructions on getting there were accurate. There was a lot of food available to eat on arrival and plenty of toiletries. It was wonderful having a toothbrush there. I have been known to forget mine in the past. The house keeper was very helpful and friendly and arrived as soon as we had managed to get in to tell us everything about how things worked etc.
Negative: We found the property smelt very bad at first. We did not know if it was the proximity of the hen sheds or the septic tank. It did get better after we left the bathroom fan on all the time. We had difficulty getting in at first but we were a bit early. However there were several phone numbers on the arrival information and there was a response from them all. We got in after about 15 minutes and everyone on the other end of the phone was very helpful. I could not find a seive in the kitchen equipment. It would have been useful to have known about all the food available beforehand and to have the cupboards labelled. It was scorching hot the weekend we were there and we were uncomfortably hot despite the 3 fans that were provided which we kept on most of the time we were in. The shower control was loose and we couldn't change it from hot to cold.
Summary: A concrete smelly farm cottage too hot in a heatwave but clean,well equipped and friendly.
