Summary:
This is a private, one bedroom suite (with a covered balcony) on the top floor of an oceanfront condominium. We are a little off the beaten path and yet only a few minutes to downtown Parksville or Nanaimo. Our suite at Pacific Shores is a great base for experiencing all the area has to offer.
The Space:
Welcome to our "Nest". High on the fourth floor, we feel like we're up in the trees. We're at eye level with the Canada geese and ducks flying up and down the estuary. And the elegant herons love to sit in the big pine trees right outside the living room windows.
With a king size bed, and a living room sofa that opens up to a queen, this suite can easily accommodate 4 people. The suite has a fully equipped kitchen. There is a gas fireplace, and a balcony with a view of the estuary and bay. There is free covered guest parking opposite the building.

You are steps away and have access to all the Resort's amenities, including the indoor pool (closed on Mondays), hot tub, sauna, BBQ areas, pickle-ball courts, children's play area, fitness room, and games room. In the summer, the Resort's amenities also include kayaks, paddle boards and lawn games. Please note due to Covid-19 restrictions, not all amenities will be operating as usual
There is elevator access to the suite, making it easily accessible for all guests.
When available, this suite can also be combined with the adjoining 1-bed/1-bath condo (Suite B - The Nook) to create a wonderful family experience. Suite B has its own bathroom and balcony and can sleep 3 (King bed and twin sofa pullout), but has no kitchen (there is a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker).
Guest Access:
We are in Nanoose Bay, British Columbia, Canada, truly a nature lover's paradise.
We are located 10 minutes from downtown Parksville, BC which is a very special community featuring farm fresh products, local marina, beaches and golf courses.
Our condo is right above a tidal beach where the tide goes in and out 1km every day. Stroll the stunning landscapes and beaches of Pacific Shores, walk across the ocean floor during low tide to Rathtrevor Beach, and swim in the warm waters at sunset.
This is a nature resort, with lovely grounds, trails and viewing decks. Our favourite deck, which we call "Sunset Point", has 2 propane fire pits where we love to sip our wine and watch the tide and the sunsets.
We are conveniently located mid-Island; it is less than 30 minutes to Nanaimo shopping (only a few more to the Vancouver ferry) and about 2 hours to either Victoria or Tofino/Ucluelet! During the winter, skiing at Mount Washington is only a 1-hr drive away.
The Neighborhood:
Explore the endless beauty of our large private beach, walk out to Rathtrevor beach collecting sand dollars at low tide or storm watch from the gazebo deck. This is a nature resort, with lovely grounds, trails, and viewing decks. Our "sunset" deck features 2 propane fire pits. Relax at the ocean's edge and watch the sunset with your glass of wine. This is a quiet and rural area, with a 10-minute drive to all the shopping and restaurants in Parksville. Relaxation or adventure, it's all here at Pacific Shores Resort.
