Live like a local in our newly renovated historical home and find out how special Lynchburg is. Comfortably blending modern conveniences with historic charm, the apartment is on the lower level of a 100+ year old home near downtown, RMC, and both hospitals. There is a park 1 block away and we are perfectly situated between great restaurants, coffee shops, a fine arts center & a trail system. We are 7 mi from LU and < 4 mi from U of L. If you are a member of the YMCA, there is one just 2 mi away.
THE HOME
- Built in 1914 for the Dunnington family on a 1/2 acre lot on Rivermont Avenue
- Previously occupied by the same couple and their family for over 30 years and now owned by us. We have been here for two years

- Originally an outside porch converted to living space 30+ years ago
- Space heater and portable fan in closet to keep the space at a comfortable temperature.

There are two of us here in the home that can answer your questions. Our mother is also available. She lives about a block away.

There is a bus stop in front of our home. The train station is less than 5 miles away. There is a public park two blocks from our property. We are about 1.5 miles from downtown Lynchburg.
We have another Airbnb property on the third floor of our home. This shouldn't impact your stay, but you may see them when you are parking as they also park on that side of the house on the concrete pad.
The heat in this apartment is 100% from the hot water pipes that travel throughout each room. Because it is steam that travels through the pipes, you occasionally hear popping and cracking when the heat comes on.
