The White Apartment was recently fully renovated and will provide our guests with comfort, cleanliness, and unique decor. This second/ third floor, 1895 duplex dwelling is located in New London, CT. The ecor pieces scattered through the apartment come from many local antique stores. They are an homage to the travelers and sailors of the world. This split-level apartment is ideal for six guests, with an additional bunk-bed room allowing us to accommodate eight guests.
The first floor of the White Apartment holds most of the common area. Enter into the open-concept kitchen and dining area. The dining table holds comfortably 6-8 guests. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready to help you prepare delicious home-cooked meals, or warm up some left-overs. You'll find plenty of available storage for groceries and other personal items. All the pots and pans, herbs, and spices you may need are made available. We also provide you with coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer to make mornings a little easier.
The dining/ kitchen area opens up to the laundry room, where you'll find a washer and dryer and some storage cabinets. The living room is off the dining area. You'll find comfortable seating for 4-6 guests, and a 40" Roku TV. The bunk-bed bedroom is accessible from the living room and has a large closet with hangers. We keep the pack'n' play crib in that closet.
Adjacent to the kitchen, you will find the master bedroom suite, with its attached full bathroom and a small balcony. Please note that the master bathroom is the only bathroom on that floor. The master bedroom has a Queen bed, with a memory foam mattress designed for pressure relief. There is a 40" Roku TV in the bedroom. The small balcony overlooks the neighborhood. The master bathroom has a porcelain toilet, a clawfoot tub/ shower combination, and a large one-sink vanity.
On the second floor of the White Apartment, you will find 2 bedrooms both with Queen beds, with a memory foam mattress designed for pressure relief. Both have hanging closets with hangers readily available. The second full bathroom is located on the second floor as well. Please note that the angled roofline makes the use of the toilet and standing shower feel a little awkward for taller guests. A play area with a TV with a PS4 set-up and floor seating are in the heart of the second floor.
You will have the whole second floor and third floor of the house, which is the entire White Apartment. The first floor is occupied by long-term tenants. Ashley will be available to answer any questions you may have during the stay but will not be meeting you on the property.
There is a driveway in the back of the dwelling unit, which can accommodate four cars. The first-floor tenants may be parked in the driveway, as parking rules are set on a first, first-serve basis. Directly in front of the property, free street parking is readily available and can easily hold three to four cars.

The White Apartment is in a neighborhood on the outskirts of New London, in very close proximity to General Dynamics/ Electric Boat New London (2 mins drive, 5 mins walk) and Downtown New London, or 'New Lo' as the locals like to call it. Caulkins Park and Playground are located are a short walk away (4 mins walk) where you'll be able to stretch your legs, throw a ball around, and play on the monkey bars.
Any family and friendly visits for Mitchell College (4 mins drive), Connecticut College (7 mins drive), US Coast Guard Academy (6 mins drive), UConn Avery Point (19 mins drive) will be a joy for us to host at the White Apartment.
We recommend our guests to have access to a vehicle, as most attractions are within driving distance to the White Apartment. The White Apartment is located about 6 mins from I-95, Exit 84S.
