Positive: This is a lovely sized cottage for a family of 4 - we stayed with our two kids (under 7) and it was a superb amount of space for a holiday home. It is located 5 minutes drive from the Beach and about 10-15 min drive from the main town of Cardigan which has a good sized Tesco for all your self catering needs. It located on a the lovey Penrallt estate with plenty of safe space for kids to run around and explore away from the main road. We stayed for almost 10 days so had plenty of time there. LL is very responsive - the toilet broke on day 1 and someone came around almost immediately to fix it all.
Negative: There are a few things that you need to be aware of on booking this place: 1. The bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs so if you need to take your kids to the toilet before going to bed yourself you’re going to need to carry them down some rather steep stairs. 2. It’s a wet room, so it’s quite a compact space and although there are good shower doors the floor is often wet. 3. If you wanted to walk to the beach - it’s possible, BUT there is no pavement so you’re walking down some quite narrow roads to get there and it’s going to be quite the uphill walk to get home at the end of the day. There are however x2 car parks at the beach so if you get there early you’ll be able to park up. 4. Neither of the TVs are smart TV’s so we ended up buying a Roku box (Landlord if you’ve no plans to upgrade the TVs I’d highly recommend you do this as it’s only £20 and makes the world of difference for families with kids), a BBQ would also be a great addition to the outdoor patio.
Summary: Pretty, quaint cottage, with a few small downsides.
