El Nido = "The Nest"
An absolutely amazing space for travelers looking to Unplug. Unwind. Renew. The Nest is located in the hills of Ojochal and is an elevated space with the private patio 'floating'. Guests will enjoy sitting on their private deck, listening to the sounds of the nearby creek, to the amazing wildlife (toucans, howler monkeys, scarlet macaws) and to themselves as they renew themselves.
The Cathedral-style roofline provides plenty of natural light in the room.
El Nido is a spacious studio space with queen size bed, air conditioning (although most guests prefer the fresh air and ceiling fan), work space/desk, en-suite bathroom and covered patio.
Guests will have access to the community pool. It is a wonderful way to relax with the sounds of the jungle in the background.
There is No internet inside The Nest, however, there is WiFi access in public spaces (swimming pool, deck area)
Private hiking trails are available to guests
Spa services (massage, facials) are available at the on-site spa. Appointments required.
Yoga classes are available, almost daily. There is a cost for each class.
Every vacation rental managed by Osa Property Management will have the following provided:

Osa Property Management’s Concierge and Vacation Planner team will contact you after you have made your reservation. We will assist with making any necessary transportation arrangements from Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose (SJO), or one of the local regional airports. Palmar Sur is closest (~30 minutes) and has one flight per day in/out of San Jose, while Quepos is approximately 45 minutes from Ojochal and has multiple flights per day on either Sansa Airlines or private charters.
We will arrange all excursions/activities/tours with reputable companies in the area, provide a link for grocery delivery, and make reservations at any restaurant. Our goal is to make your trip to Costa Rica enjoyable and as relaxing as you want it to be.
Guests will meet with an Osa Property Management representative at check-in and at check-out. Osa Property Management will also be available from 8 am - 8 pm via group chat. Messages sent after 8 pm will be addressed the following morning starting at 8 am.
The home and digital guidebook have all of the emergency phone numbers and information needed in the event of an emergency.
This home is located in Ojochal, Costa Rica (Uvita is approximately 15 minutes north).
Ojochal is home to beaches, restaurants. grocery stores, a pharmacy, a turtle and animal reserve and even a library.
Playa Tortuga is a very common beach and has a south and a north entrance. Reserva Playa Tortuga is located en route to the south entrance of the beach, and is a volunteer organization that protects, tracks and studies turtles, caymans and birds in the area. Be sure to drop by Reserva Playa Tortuga when visiting Playa Tortuga (beach)
Ojochal is known throughout Costa Rica as home to some of the country's best restaurants, including Citrus, Exotica and Fusion. There are plenty of other restaurants, all with different menus. In addition, to fine dining there is live music most evenings at Los Gatos Locos (the crazy cats), fine baked items at The French Bakery and more there are simple, authentic Costa Rica restaurants with their rice and beans, casadas and fruit juices.
Guests routinely see and/or hear toucans, howler monkeys, scarlet macaws, blue morpho butterflies and other amazing wildlife found in the nearby Costa Rican jungle.
Guests will park in the Resort's parking lot. Guests will be required to walk approximately 75 yards in the jungle to access The Nest.
The Nest is part of the Akka Yoga Retreat Resort. The Nest is its own private space. Guests will have free access to the Resort's shared swimming pool, hiking trails and patio.
Guests will have the opportunity to join most yoga classes taking place at the gorgeous yoga zone. Classes are fee-based.
Guests will also have access to the In-resort Spa offering massage and facials.
Home is accessible by any type of vehicle.
Ojochal does not have UBER and private taxis are not always available, however, our Concierge will facilitate private transportation and rental vehicle options for guests.
