**The property is located above the town of Dominical Costa Rica. Dominical is about a 3.5 hour drive from the international airport in San Jose.**
**We recommend staying your first night in San Jose when you arrive, and drive down the next morning. If your flight lands after 12pm, it will be difficult to reach the home before dark**

Experience contemporary luxury in the jungle at this new home located in a gated community of Lagunas de Baru. This 2,500sqft modern home sits on 1.56 acres, and borders a large rainforest nature reserve made up of thousands of acres. This nature reserve protects the wildlife and offers them a safe place to live freely. However don’t be surprised if you have some visitors! Monkeys, sloths, toucans, and small mammals frequent the area.
Villa Nido is located in Lagunas de Baru where the mountains meet the sea, overlooking stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, valleys, mountains, and jungle. Many first-time visitors to the area don't realize that beachfront property here is very hot and humid, but up here it can be ten degrees cooler with wonderful breezes coming in off the ocean, yet only a 15-minute drive to the surfer town of Playa Dominical, and the deserted beaches of Guapil and Hatillo.
Beautifully furnished, the home has a fully-equipped kitchen. Modern conveniences in the house provide you with a very comfortable base while exploring all the wonders of the Southern Pacific Zone. If the cooling ocean breezes don't keep you quite cool enough, please note the property is equipped with air conditioning in the living room / kitchen, and all 3 bedrooms, as well as ceiling fans in all bedrooms and living areas. There are extensive lighted pathways and grounds to explore. High speed fiber optics internet is provided, and you can also enjoy a TV with Netflix.
Bedrooms are furnished with 1 king size bed, and 2 queen beds. Bedroom and bathroom linens will be prepared by housekeeping.
Enjoy the outdoor living of Costa Rica while relaxing on the loungers at the pool as the Pacific Ocean provides a gentle breeze. The large inviting pool is only steps away from the main house, and guest house. GUEST ACCESS:
Guest will have full access to the entire property. Both homes, pool, and all outdoor living space. No other guests or homeowners will be on site during your stay.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
The pleasant town of Dominical offers the beach-lover a wide variety of nearby beaches to choose from.
Playa Dominicalito is just south of Dominical and is a great spot for beginner surfers and swimmers. At Punta Dominical, on the southern end of Playa Dominicalito, you'll see the lush green land merge with the rich blue Ocean. It is a great spot to watch the ocean's waves crash onto the rocky shore below and see a near perfect sunset almost year round.
Other activities include treks to nearby waterfalls including the Nauyaca Waterfalls (7.5 mi from Dominical on Hwy 243), canopy tours, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, sea kayaking, scuba diving and snorkeling.
