Positive: The Villazul property has a lovely view of the valley and we really enjoyed the upstairs section of the tiny house which is where the beds are located. The lower part of the tiny house is jam-packed with furniture, so felt hard to move around in. There was a spa in front of our place, but we had no idea how to use it and it didn't appear to be filled with water anyway. One thing to note - the location is certainly remote and the wind that barrels down off the side of the volcano is incredibly strong and relentless. It was probably our most expensive accommodation in Costa Rica and for us personally, the 'bang for the buck' just wasn't quite there unfortunately.
Summary: Remote and wind-swept, but quite comfortable with a lovely view.
